Hi All,

I am installing SharePoint Portal Server 2003 on one of the server which has
windows 2003 server & MSSQL 2000 installed.

WSUS is also installed on this server and it is using the 'Default Web
Server' (using port 80) as it's virtual server. I have created a new virtual
sever directing to port 8080 called 'SharePoint' using IIS and configured
following 'extend virtual server' Knowledge base article on the Microsoft
website.

When I try to create a portal using SharePoint Central Administration, I
could not see the 'SharePoint' web server that I created from the list, it
only allow me to select the default web server which will then cause an
error on the WSUS Web. I viewed the complete list of virtual server using
SharePoint Central Administration I could see both 'Default web server:
http://servername ' and the 'SharePoint web server http://servername:8080 '
but it is indicated that Default web server as 'extended' and 'SharePoint'
as not Administrable...

I am trying to create a portal for SharePoint on this server without causing
any problem to the WSUS server

Has any one experienced this problem before, could any one suggest anything
that I could try please?

Your help would be much appreciated.
