Hello,

first of all sorry if I make mistakes but I am not english ;-).

Does someone know website that explain how to install Sharepoint 2003 ? I
have read the help file into the cdrom and Microsoft website but I didn't
found my answers.

I would like to configure Sharepoint to index a lot of Word file that are
located in a shared folder in a network drive.
How can I define that path in my SPS 2003 ?

Sorry for the 'noob' question but I discover that soft.

Thank you !

Hi,

Connect to your server:

Go to Site Settings in your portal (if you prefer
http://localhost/_layouts/1033/SearchSettings.aspx locally or http://[ NAME
OF YOUR SERVER ]/_layouts/1033/SearchSettings.aspx )

At the bottom of the page click on : Add Content Source

Select the catalog for which you want this content indexed.

Select the button File share

Enter as address the share and folders containing your documents, a
description and select if you want to index only this folder or also the
subfolder.. finally add this in a source group or enter a new name for the
source group.

Click next .

Select full update and your content will be indexed.

Thanks,
